NEW YEAR’S EVE
A happy group of residents andtheir guests gathered for a NY Eve BBQ on new year’ eve. Surprise! Surprise!
A lovely meal was cooked on thenew BBQ by Terry and Harold with Ernie at the bar keeping our thirsts quenchedand we were entertained by Bert with his cheerful ukulele. Salads were provided by Social Committee andthe meal rounded off with an icecream.
Doors were ‘locked’ untileveryone was ready to sing Auld Lang Syne accommpanied by Bert. The majority ofresidents headed home by 8.00pm. The general feeling was that the year had beena strange one but we in WA have been very fortunate and not been seriouslylocked down. The wish was for goodhealth for all our loved ones wherever they live.

We’ve had a story of a Bad Parrot so here is the …..
A single guy decided life would be more fun it he had a pet., so hewent to the Pet Store and told the salesman he wanted an unusual pet.
After some discussion, he finally bought a talking centipede which camein a little white box as his house. He took the box back home and found a goodspot for it.
He decided he would start off by taking his new pet to church with himso he asked the centipede “Would you like to go to church with me today?” Therewas no answer. This bothered him a bitbut he waited a few minutes and then asked again. “How about coming
to church with me to receive blessings?”
Again there was no answer from his new pet.
So he waited a few minutes more, thinking about the situation.
The guy decided to invite the centipede one last time.
This time he put his face up to the centipede’s house and shouted
“Hey, in there. Would you like to go to church and learn about God?”
YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS….
This time a little voice came out of the box and said.
“I heard you the first F****** time! I’m putting my shoes on!”
“Struggling to get your wife’s attention?” Just sit down and makeyourself comfortable.
I ran into the store leaving my mother in the car. I was surprised whenI got to the checkout to find my mother waiting there. “What are you doinghere?” I asked ‘I left the car running.’ “Don’t worry” she replied. “I lockedthe doors”.
